Protect Your Business From Clients Like This

Expert Insights β€’ By Tati Nails LLC β€’ May 20, 2026

Sometimes a client leaves the appointment happy, approves the design, takes photos, pays, and says everything looks beautiful. But after leaving the salon, the situation suddenly changes.

In this case, the client chose:

  • A detailed design on every nail
  • Different elements and shapes
  • A long, premium Corrective Session appointment
The Flawless Application Process

At checkout, there was already dissatisfaction with the final price, even though the full design and pricing were discussed during the appointment. Afterward, our studio started receiving a large number of messages, complaints, accusations, and pressure over details that were not mentioned during the service itself.

"As professionals, we are always open to respectful communication and reasonable fixes. But there is a difference between professional communication and emotional manipulation after the service is completed."

Not every client is your client. And protecting your peace, boundaries, time, and business is part of being a professional. One expert. One standard.

Security Camera Proof: Client checking out happily

Hi Kaylee/Makaylah,

We would like to address your claims using the exact timeline of our communications, the Service Agreements you signed, and our published studio methodologies.

1. The Service, The Pricing, and The Pushback
From your very first messages, you repeatedly attempted to negotiate the service down to a standard Hard Gel overlay to save money. However, because you arrived with long nails holding previous product and structural imbalances, we thoroughly explained that you required a Corrective Session - Medium.

As we publish in our educational article, Structure vs. Hard Gel:
"Very often I receive photos and messages like: 'I just want an overlay on my natural nails.' ... But once we remove everything, the reality looks different... This is where real work begins. First we remove everything, then we assess the condition... reshaping the nails, rebuilding the structure, working with a weakened nail plate."

Your invoice of $246 correctly reflected this elite architectural correction ($180), plus the French tip ($20) and Polka Dot design ($40) that you explicitly requested.

2. The "Thinning" Claim
You messaged us from your car immediately after leaving the studio to question the thickness of your tips. High-level Russian Manicure architecture is designed to be sleek, precise, and structurally soundβ€”not bulky or thick like standard salon acrylics.

3. The Request for Free Labor
Days later, you contacted us regarding a chip on the design. You claim there was "no clear resolution," which is factually incorrect. We offered you an appointment that exact same day at 4:00 PM to repair the nail at our standard studio rate of $10 per nail. You declined because you expected the repair to be free.

4. Our Studio Boundaries
Before sitting in the chair, you physically signed our Client Health & Service Check-In form. By signing, you explicitly agreed to the following terms: "I understand services are final and refunds are not provided once completed."

We reserve our schedule exclusively for clients who respect the time, expertise, and strict professional boundaries required to operate a premium nail studio. We wish you the best in finding a salon that better aligns with your budget and expectations.
