The Reality of Enforcing Standards: Nail Health vs. The Price Tag

There is a very interesting phenomenon in the private beauty industry. When a specialized studio enforces strict structural boundaries and a client is removed from the roster for not following them, the retaliation is almost always the same.

Suddenly, you will see a public review complaining about "customer service" or "unprofessionalism." But when you look at the actual data behind the scenes, the truth is always the same: It is always about the price.

At Tati Nails, we specialize in Russian Manicures. This is not a standard coat of polish; it is precise, architectural nail work that requires a strict 3-to-4-week maintenance cycle. When clients intentionally ignore these timelines, the center of balance shifts, the architecture becomes unstable, and the natural nail plate suffers severe weakening and potential damage.

We try to educate. We provide the science. But unfortunately, some clients simply do not care about the health of their nails. They only care about the math. To artificially lower their personal expenses, they will intentionally stretch their appointments to 6 or 7 weeks, completely disregarding the health risks and the agreements they signed.

When we tell these clients that we can no longer service them because they refuse to adhere to safe maintenance cycles, the retaliation begins. They become upset that they can no longer access our expertise, and they try to blame the studio.

"We will never apologize for enforcing our standards. We refuse to compromise your nail health just to fit an irregular budget. If a client prioritizes the cheapest possible cycle over the integrity and safety of their natural nails, they are simply not aligned with our studio."

To our incredible clients who value expertise, proper architecture, and uncompromising quality—thank you. Your health and your beautiful results will always be our absolute priority.
