One of my new clients told me she used to get Russian manicures from a specialist in New York City
She had a very difficult time finding a specialist here in Richmond.
In the first photo, you can see the finished result of my work. And if you scroll further, you can see what nails the client had for her first appointment.
I want to point out right away: this post is not a critique of another artist. I simply want to show the details I pay attention to during my work.
The before photos clearly show differences in nail shape and length, as well as separation along the free edge on almost every nail. When such separation is present consistently, it often indicates that the material or coating architecture was not chosen specifically for the client’s needs.
After removing the coating, I corrected the shape, evened out the architecture, and prepared the nails for the new coating, maintaining a shape that truly suits these hands.
In the final photos, pay attention to the cleanliness of the leather, the evenness of the coating, and the symmetry of the shape. These are the details that create the result, which looks harmonious and neat even after weeks of wear.
If you look at these photos and recognize your nails, I’d be happy to help.
I work in Richmond, Virginia, and am currently open to new clients.
